(The Princess Belle costume photos are below the pumpkin ones.)
I realize I’m biased, but my Bella was absolutely beautiful yesterday for her Harvest Parade at school. All the kids looked so cute, but of course I thought my Bella was the prettiest princess there!
I was so excited. Yes. I’m ONE.OF.THOSE.MOMS. Seriously. I took 158 pictures (really) in 45 minutes. I so enjoy my Canon Rebel camera. But I took 158 pictures and I was smiling from ear to ear. Why? Because this year my daughter actually enjoyed her parade. Last year she DESPISED it. She was mad because she was a pumpkin and all her friends were princesses. Then she mad because me and my mom were there. She wouldn’t sing the cute songs. She wouldn’t remove her finger from her mouth. And she wouldn’t hold her head up. She was MAD!
Finger in Mouth. Head down.
BUT….This year she was waving to the ‘crowd’ – as if we were all there to see her! She smiled so big. She walked with her head high. She even sang some of the songs! Way to go Bella! You are what your daddy always tells you you are:

So, here’s a little timeline of my girl, I mean my Princess. Now, unfortunately it was snowing and freezing, so we put a turtleneck on under her dress. Maybe on Saturday we won’t need to turtleneck! It was snowing so bad that they shut the school down after the parade (I was so glad they didn’t do it before, we would have had a sobbing princess, crying drops of gold glitter all over the place). Pretty much every school in Colorado was closed yesterday. So, here it is!

She was up at 6:30 wanting to get ready. So, we started with the Velcro curlers for some volume. Fine blonde hair doesn’t have it on it’s own :o)
After curlers, curling iron,
cosmetic glitter, cream blush and Aveda Firmata hair spray (that stuff is amazing)
Wish you could really see all the glitter – on her face and shoulders and in her hair. It was so
sparkly!
The
finished product!
With the cape.
With a tired mama! I was up with Scout most of the night, then up at 5:45 to start the day. Ahhh, the
joys of mommyhood!
At school, showing her
shoes!
Part of her class after the songs.
Scout watching all the kids. He was a duck. A
tired duck.

This looks like a scene from “Enchanted”. She was so into it yesterday!
My
beautiful Bella.
Sleeping duck.
Singing. “
God picked
me from His pumpkin patch…”

So, if they have school tomorrow, she gets to dress up again. Then tomorrow night for a Harvest Carnival at church. Then on Saturday to go trick or treating. What a dream for a little girl – to dress up as a princess so much in one week!
I’ll have more to post of her and Scout the Duck on Water Cooler Monday. Right now we are sitting in about 16+ inches of snow right now – I should post some pics – you know for those of you who don’t get to experience snow like we do :o)
Stay warm (Brandi, keep cool – keep that A/C running!) And now, to try to catch up on all the blogs I didn’t get to yesterday! Good day for reading, huh!
