Finally, I am linking up with Jenilee for Wednesday’s Walk! Link up yourself or browse through other blogs at The Goodwin Family:
Lately I’ve been thinking that eventually, if we are still in this house, we will have to redo the kids’ rooms. I know they will grow out of the themes I gave them before they were born, but I’m not quite ready to get rid of what they have now. I have the memories of doing all the painting while I was pregnant and just sitting in the glider before each baby was born – just staring at the room.
Since the birth of my kids I have spent hours upon hours in those rooms, sharing intimate times with them while nursing or rocking them to sleep. We play in the rooms, read books, jump on the beds, do puzzles – we make memories. That is the biggest reason I don’t want to redo them. I also think that when we end up moving from this house, the memories of those 2 rooms will be the most missed!
So below I’ve posted a side of my creativity. I did a ‘Tropical’ theme for Bella’s room and an ‘Outdoor’ theme for Scout’s. Some of you have seen these already AND I didn’t have time to edit the photos and the make the colors all cool and stand out – so forgive me! You’ll get the idea though! Enjoy!

This dresser was given to me by my grandparents and it’s part of a 1950’s bedroom set. My dad refinished it for us to match the crib and glider.

I just love them both :) I was feeling like I wanted to jump in that hammock and take a little nap. Ha! Very creative......wish I had that much creativity. My kids were lucky to get a plain color on their walls. LOL!
I think you did a great job... I remember seeing these a while back. I am still in LOVE with that dresser!
It's hard to change the baby room. I enjoyed painting and decorating the boys' 'big boy' room. Baby Bub never had a baby room 'cause, ya know, 3rd kid and all... HAHA! He's always slept in a crib in our room. The big boys actually have asked for me to move their dresser and put his toddler bed in the room with them.
wow!! that is so impressive girlie!!
Wow those rooms are beautiful. Done a great job and thanx for sharing !!
Have a great Wednesday

I remember these! You are amazing! I would be sad to leave those rooms too! My husband keeps want to change my boys room but I still really like it!
You did a beautiful job and I don't think they will outgrow those rooms anytime soon. I think they can go for quite a while still.
their rooms are ADORABLE! :) and Bella's clothes! wow, what a full closet! I'm so glad you linked up and showed us their rooms!
I love your blog! And what a great post! I'm so bummed I totally forgot about Wednesday's Walk--next week! But I'm glad I stopped by here--those are really impressive room makeovers. You are seriously talented!
