I Would Like You To Meet Willow

Willow.

Willow Love would have been the name of Scout, had he been a girl.  But, he came out with his plumbing on the outside, so Willow wasn’t an option for a name.  Don’t get me wrong.  I tried to get hubby to go along with the idea that we could name him Willow and call him Will for short.  Um.  He didn’t think it was as good of an idea as I did.

Denied.

Denied to ever have the chance to use the name Willow Love.

Until….until it occurred to me that there was something in my life that I had never given a name.  I mean, my Land Rover has a name – The Green Disco.  Hubby’s Land Rover – The Red Rover.  Shoot, I even have a name for my vacuum.

But one object was missing a name.  I had finally found my chance to name something Willow.  Granted, it wasn’t a daughter that would look so cute running through a field of wildflowers in a sundress with her long, blond hair blowing behind her.  But it was mine and can name it whatever I want.

And here she is….I would like you to meet Willow.

Photobucket

Yes.  It’s my camera.  I saw that everyone else out there names their cameras, laptops, iPhones, camera straps – so why not me?

And I like it.  It fits.

Now I need some accessories to make Willow, well, more lady like.

I’ve seen people in bloggy land who have cool straps.  I will need to get me a cool strap.  Here are some I found.

from Madebymeegz’s

And wrist straps. These are perfect for when you’re at a wedding or graduation and don’t want your camera hanging around your neck.  Not the best fashion statement – unless you’re the photographer.

or

from Capturing Couture
(Brandi won one of these straps…very cool)

And CASES.  I couldn’t leave this etsy site.  I might need a couple different patterns, depending on what mood I’m in that day!  These are GREAT and so much better then the boring store one I have!  About ugly cases, this is important, because when you are going somewhere nice, you don’t want to be lugging around a big, black, ugly case – if you know what I mean.

Ahhhh, couldn’t Willow look so DAINTY with some of these?  I can’t wait to start my collection for her :o)

And, while I’m out dressing up my camera, I might as well get a case for my laptop – what do you think?

Gussy

Oh my goodness, these are AMAZINGLY AWESOME!  I definitely need one of these for carrying my laptop around.  Not that I do it often, but when we go on vacation this summer – it’s a MUST.  And with Willow all decked out – mmm, mmm, mmm!

Photobucket

You know, I just realized that my laptop doesn’t have a name either.  I guess it’s only right to name it ‘Love’ which would have been Willow’s middle name.

You are too cute. Love the camera straps. Hmmm...you've left me wanting to go shopping.

My sister named her phone Rosie, so last year when I got a new phone and it was red, it was officailly named Ruby by her. Sounded like "sister' phones. however, i haven't named my camera yet...

Happy Thursday!

I'm still working on the name for my new love. I want a fancy camera bag too, but I got this super awesome backpack camera bag which will be perfect for NYC this summer.
