Pizza Review, Games and a Cranky Girl

A few weeks ago I received a review pack from MyBlogSpark for Pillsbury Pizza Crust.  Along with it they sent us a family game and some pizza shaped plates!

So, I’m a tad late in posting the review – but life happened and things got pushed back.

But here we are, finally!

So, if you know me, you know I’m not a big fan of processed food – but that doesn’t mean I NEVER buy processed food and consume it.  Reality check!  But, one thing my family likes is pizza.  Normally I make the crust, but that does take time and sometimes I.AIN’T.GOT.NONE.  If that’s the case and we weren’t going out for pizza, I would buy the pizza dough mix.  Not a huge fan, but it worked.  So, when I tried this dough from Pillsbury for ‘Pizza Night’, I was impressed.  It tasted better than I thought it would (hey, I have to be honest, I didn’t know what to expect.)  The fam enjoyed it (not sure if they care how I get the crust, they just want pizza!).

While we ate, we played ‘Pictureka’.  Bella was pumped to get to play a game WHILE we were eating.  She absolutely enjoyed the game, until she wasn’t winning.  Then she became irate.  Tears, pouting, yelling from mom, consoling from mom – you know how it goes.  This is normal.  She wants to win.  Always.  Great attitude to have. She refuses to lose.  The fits are just annoying.  Maybe she’ll grow out of it (the fits, that is)???  We continue to play the game periodically in the evenings when we’ve prepared ourselves for a possible meltdown.  I will say, she has gotten better about it over the past couple weeks.  We have to alter the rules a bit, because if we didn’t, she would never winSO.NOT.COOL.  So – until she can be a tad quicker at finding objects – we have rules that keep our house hold in a happy, peaceful state.  Sigh…

Overall – I give the dough a thumbs up for a pre-made, packaged pizza dough.  If I have to ever make pizza again and making the dough from scratch is not doable – I will buy this.  Fast. Easy. Yummy!  I do make my own sauce though :o)  Plus we load lots of cheese and, yes, pepperoni on top!  Yummy!

I think I need to start doing giveaways on this type of stuff.  I think you peeps in bloggy land would grab onto that idea fast!

p.s.  I do want to add that the product, prize pack, information, and giveaway have all been provided by Pillsbury through MyBlogSpark!  Thanks, MyBlogSpark!

(this pizza was from a different night, but it’s on the pizza plate!)

We LOVE making pizza. I usually opt for french bread b/c I don't really bake very good (however, I did get some bread flower for the first time this week and some yeast. Who knows what I'll come up with).

Lil' Bub does the SAME. THING. if he doesn't win. OMGosh! What starts as a nice family game night turns into a frustrating, crying mess! LOL! We've learned to change the rules just a bit so he'll win too! So much more enjoyable when he doesn't have a meltdown! ;)

What a fun review! We love pizza over here but I'm trying to be a good girl this week, so wish me luck!

Totally know what you mean about kiddos and games. Alyssa is the same way. Totally happy when she's winning. So not happy when she's not! Gotta love our four year olds!
