Thank You Very Much!

This is my very first time participating in Kmama’s Thank You Very Much Thursday!

ThankYouVeryMuch Free Therapy Courtesy of Kmama

To summer, which I thoroughly enjoy, but to swimsuit season, which I do not.  Thank you very much!

To my body who decided to centralize all my left over pregnancy skin, including my bountiful, nursing bosom, to my butt and thighs.  Thank you very much!

To the department store dressing rooms who don’t know how to install doors that actually have  locks.  Thank you very much!

To the women who repeatedly would open my SHUT dressing room door with my purse hanging on the knob to signify, yes indeed, there is someone in here.  Thank you very much!

To dressing room lights that having something in them that magnify and multiply the extra skin that has centralized around my butt and thighs, and somehow minimizing even more my less than abundant bosom.  Thank you very much!

To the State of Colorado who moronically passed a bill making it legal for males to use women’s bathrooms, locker rooms and fitting rooms if those males feel more female than male, and threatening jail time and/or fines to those females who openly show they have an issue with the males entering into these places where only females should be.  Thank you very much!

To the man who wandered around the swimsuit section of the store carousing the racks and ‘not so discreetly’ watching women go in and out of the fitting room, obviously alone and not with a wife, girlfriend, mother, sister or daughter.  I doubt anyone sent you here to buy them a swimsuit – no lady in their right mind sends a man to buy an outfit as important as this.  To you, confused male, you flash just ONE inappropriate look my way and I’m whipping out my iPhone and calling the police!  I’d rather serve jail time than share a fitting room with you!  Thank you very much!

You know, I do feel better now!  Thank you very much!

ps…In case you didn’t know, the bill they passed in Colorado is now in the process of being passed nationally, which means you and your daughters would be forced to share bathrooms, locker rooms and fitting rooms with males who:  just don’t feel like a male, who are transgender, who are cross-dressers and those who are just confused about their sexual identity.  And there will be fines imposed for those who openly make a big deal out of it in public places!

WHA?????? Holy cow! I have not heard of that! That is totally freaky! Eeeeeew. What is wrong with people? I'm completely disgusted now!

Brandi said...

P.S. If that gets passed nationally, I think it's safe to say I'll be getting some fines.

Oh, and how confusing would that be for little boys who are NOT confused about their sexuality who might be in the ladies room w/their mother? Because I'm telling you right now, if a man walked into a womens' bathroom and WE were in there, Bubba would for sure say something! I mean, HELLO, maybe we need a 'female' restroom, 'male' restroom, and a 'confused' restroom for all the crazies.

Okay, I'm leaving now...

In reference to Brandi's posts...
Ditto, Ditto, and Ditto!

What a crazy, confusing place this country/world is becoming. =/

And that law leaves all those perves (like the one lurking in the bathing suit department) every opportunity to do victimize women. Sometimes being "sensitive" to other people's needs goes way to far. This law is ridiculous.

Oh and not to mention giving them easy access with no locks on the doors. *sigh*

That is just disgusting!!!!! I'm sure I'll have my share of fines as well. Sounds like the reprobate mind the Bible speaks of.

You can't be serious!? That bill is crazy and I think anybody that would pass a piece of crap like that is nuts.

Thanks for linking up!

That law you speak of is insane. Why not just create more "Family" restrooms and leave it at that? Ugh. Disgusting.

Have you ever tried Lands End bathing suits? I swear by them. They don't hug the rolls and fit generously. They are pricey, but sooooo worth it!

Thanks again for linking up!

Amen to how dressing rooms are in some alternate universe that magnifies everything that you don't want magnified. LOL!!

I can just see all kinds of disgusting rapists/pedophiles trying to get inside women's dressing rooms now......what are these people thinking who dream up these laws?!!

Once I worked at Foley's (now Macy's) in the pantyhose section and this guy actually called asking all about pantyhose for himself!! I didn't want to be rude, I was only 18, so I just answered his questions, but eventually I just had to let him go (it was on the phone thank goodness). We also used to have this guy who wore women's clothing and he would come and look around in the pantyhose/handbags section too.

Okay, that new law is just outrageous! I just can't believe it! Thanks for sharing what's to come. I'm actually kinda shocked a crazy law like that isn't already in affect here in CA!

P.S. I talked to Kristin today and she told me about the new health plan you're helping her with. I asked her if she could email the info to me and maybe we can do it together. I would love to get to feeling better about myself and I know I need to lose thee weight. It's just a matter of getting disciplined and doing it.

First off, hilarious post, thank you very much, Kari! Secondly, what the what?! I can not handle that bill, I may not go out in public any more or at least not to the bathroom!!!!

That is just crazy. I am a little irate about that bill. Holy cow. STupidity is right. Sheesh
I hate swim suit season. Ugh.

I live under a rock, sometimes a rather large rock, so I had no clue such a bill was out there. As a mother of two girls, one old enough to go to the mall herself, that scares the bologna out of me! Somethings I will never agree with or understand, apparently this is one of them!

Oh yeah, swimsuit season is the devil!

I have never heard of that bill but since I work at a YMCA I can see MAJOR problems with it. Thanks for sharing.

Seriously? Men are legal in women's restrooms if they're feeling feminine? Seriously?
