July 14th.
This is a day we celebrated for eleven years. Stuffed animals (ones that squeaked, of course). Home-made doggy biscuits. A nice, long walk. Chicken. Oh, did Jerry enjoy his chicken. More than anyone I’ve ever known. Tummy rubs. Belly scratches. The works.
This is how we usually spent July 14th in our house.
Today, Jerry would have turned 12 years old. Today it is exactly 2 months to the day that we had to say goodbye to our buddy!
Today, I am missing my puppy!
So, today, I am remembering my precious Jerry Bean.
This is the day I brought Jerry home in September 1998! 
And this is just a small, small glimpse of the life we had with Jerry.
And this was the day, two months ago, that I said goodbye! 
Mama will always love you, Bean!
And thank you all for always being so compassionate with me and my puppy posts! Our animals are like our family, and the transition with them leaving isn’t the easiest thing to go through! I know some of you think I’m crazy and that’s okay. You won’t be the first to think that and you won’t be the last :o)

I have my own doggie love sitting at my feet as i type. they do become part of the family.

Have you ever seen the cartoon Oswald? My boys watched it when they were a little younger. Oswald has a hot dog-weenie dog as a pet and he calls her 'weenie girl.' That wasn't my dachshund's actual name, but we called her weenie girl... sort of a nickname. I saw the cartoon for the first time probably close to 2 years after she left us and when I heard Oswald say 'weenie girl' it made me cry... and smile too.
I can't even imagine. So glad you have so many great memories and pictures to share.
We've been through that (2 x in 2 yrs), totally understand. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate the love he brought to your family. Sweet puppy. Blessings and hugz to you, hon.
