I’m All That And A Bag of Chips Too!

Have you ever taken a personality test?  Me and Hubby have taken 3 within the past month.  One was at our Marriage Built To Last class – and that was fun taking it with the other couples.  Hubby’s top 2 were “Free Spirit / Leader”.  I on the other hand was “Task / People”.  They were pretty much right on and my oh my how polar opposites we are.  But, it’s wonderful to see how well we compliment each other.  If it weren’t for Hubby, I’d never stop working and have a little fun. If it weren’t for me, Hubby would never stop having fun and work a little :o)  See how wonderful that works out?  Then on the way home, we actually argued about it – haha!  Go figure!

Then we had to take 2 more tests a couple days ago because we are wanting to help out in our youth ministry at church.  One of them has caused my Hubby to have some issues :o)  He took it the first time and didn’t like the results, so he took it again.  It came back worse (his own words)– hehe!  Later that night he went to bed, then he was back up in the office again, re-reading the results.  I had to laugh at him, because his results were pretty much right on with the guy I know.  He’s not a bad guy, but he’s not a ‘people person’ and the ‘snapshot’ of himself didn’t seem to kind:  reclusive, doesn’t need people in his life, non social, etc. Some of those descriptions are right on, but I don’t think it makes him a bad person.  You can see for yourself (I posted his results below mine).

As for me, my snapshot was pretty right on too.  Hubby thinks I lied to take the test (he’s just jealous that mine came out ‘nicer’ than his).  I like how it says I’m OVERLY ORGANIZED and OVERLY TALKATIVE.  Whaaaaa?????  Meeeeee?????? Puleeeze!!!!!  Haha!  Yep, that’s me in a nutshell! Anyhoodle, my results are below:

Global Personality Test Results
Stability (50%) medium which suggests you average somewhere in between being calm and resilient and being anxious and reactive.
Orderliness (90%) very high which suggests you are overly organized, reliable, neat, and hard working at the expense too often of flexibility, efficiency, spontaneity, and fun.
Extraversion (86%) very high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

“clean, self revealing, open, organized, outgoing, social, enjoys leadership and managing others, dominant, makes friends easily, does not like to be alone, assertive, hard working, finisher, optimistic, positive, likes to stand out, likes large parties, respects authority, practical, high self esteem, perfectionist, dislikes chaos, busy, not familiar with the dark side of life, controlling, high self control, traditional, tough, likes to fit in, conforming, brutally honest, takes precautions”

Hubby’s Results

Hubby isn’t sure the youth department will want him.  In fact, he thinks they’ll want to put him in a padded room before they let him teach and lead the youth of our church!  Oh, that man makes me laugh!  We have our meeting with the youth pastor’s this Sunday night.  I guess we’ll see what they think of our results!

And in case you needed some friendly reminder that you have a normal household and family, I have some photos of my kids below that I took yesterday.  Obviously I can’t be vague when I say, “Go play really quick while mommy makes her bed.”  Why?  Because out of the thousands of dollars worth of toys we have laying around our house, this is what they picked to ‘play’ with.

Little Swimmers.

Yes.

Diapers.

LOL! Love the pictures! Its so funny cause I just had this conversation with a friend too(about personalities). I never seem to think those tests are right...but they usually are :o).By the way, I had a pastor tell us (hubby & I) that if you look at the people you know who are christiands & got married you'll see that they are polar opposites. That it is the Lord that is their connection. Those who are similar most likely met and married before they knew the Lord. This was during pre-marital counseling and I am still trying to think of people to prove him wrong. Man...that sounded more rebellious than I thought :o)

So dang funny! Me and DB are opposites too. He's the extrovert 'fun' person and I'm the introvert 'not fun' person, so we balance each other pretty good.

He loves teaching Sunday School and he's going to start doing some more stuff w/the youth. Me? Well, I have the same thoughts as your hubby... they probably wouldn't want me! HA! Actually, they've asked if I would be interested in a paid job keeping the nursery (and I can bring the babies w/me). I was really shocked. Babies I'm ok with, though. It's when they start talking and asking 500 questions that gets me flustered! ;)

I love, love, love a good personality test, and I have been known to "re-take" a couple because I didn't like the results. I will say it does look like you and your husband are perfect for one another!

And the pics are hilarious and adorable.

LOL!! At least the diapers matched their outfits. Haha!

I would love to take a personality test like that. I already know I'm super organized, but am also one of those people who is perfectly content if I don't socialize with one single person all week.

ROTFL!! Oh my... what IS it about diapers... my grandkids have done the same thing. A couple of those photos, especially the one that is your favorite, she reminds me of the chiquita banana lady with the fruit on her head. LOL! Ah, kids.

Can't wait to hear how the church views your hubby's test results. LOL! But really, since they already know him, he should be fine. Right? Yeah. Surely. Of course.... Okay, I've put him on our prayer list! LOL! KIDDIING!

It's not normal for kids to play with diapers? Ah, Man! I guess we're weirdos too! LOL
That is so funny that you and your husband had completely different personality results. I wonder how my hubby and i would do.
