Isn’t it amazing how just getting your hair cut can make all the difference in the world?
I was never brave with my haircuts growing up.
Now, I always had funky colors after I started experiencing with hair color AFTER high school.
I had dark black, dark brown, redish, platinum, light brown, streaked, chunked – and one time it was even a light blue. On accident, of course.
But, it usually was all long or shoulder length – nothing fun.
Although in middle school Aqua Net was my best friend and I had the high bangs. You know, the COBRA look. Not cool.
So, back in 2003 I did my first daring cut.
A pixie cut.
My amazing grandma had been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and I told her that if she started losing her hair while taking chemo treatments, that I would cut my hair off (it was about mid-back at the time).
The day before Thanksgiving 2003, I got my first pixie haircut.
Since then I haven’t been shy about trying new things with my hair.
It’s very liberating for some reason.
Now, I did not do a pixie hair cut this time around, but I’m sure at least once more in my lifetime, I’ll do it again – because, my friends, that was an easy haircut to manage!
So, after wearing my hair in a pony tail for the past 2 weeks after waking up one Sunday to find out that my hair no longer ‘worked’ anymore, I finally get that big ‘Ahhhh’ of relief when it’s time to do my hair. It takes about 5 minutes to do and I’m done.
Beautiful.
So, for all those who wanted to see the NEW haircut, here you go!

Oh yea – you can’t forget the side shot that shows how much I really cut off! Like the dark back and light sides. So not planned, but that’s how it turned out after she cut off all the ‘colored’ hair from back in February when I ended up with white hair.
So, we finally get to pick up the Truxter tomorrow (Saturday). The guy doing some work on it has had a busy week, so it took a couple days longer to finish.
Also, we had Bella’s Kindergarten orientation last night and I think she is really going to like her teachers and the school! I’m excited and sad all at the same time. I’ll miss having her around during the day.
Ladies, have a great weekend! We have lots going on, so hopefully I’ll take lots of photos! Enjoy the end of your summer. I think it went by fast!

First! Booyah!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Looks great! I need a haircut. I can actually get mine into a decent pony now. I was thinking of going the pixie route... don't know. I usually grow it long for winter and chop it off in the summer, but I'm still liking it shorter.
Y'all have a great weekend!
WOOT WOOO!
look at you mama!
:))
Hottie pa Tottie!
Love the hair cut! Looks fab!
Love your haircut, Kari! Super cute! I hope Bella has a great year at school!
I keep forgetting to tell you that I got your sample lotion and I love it! Love that peppermint scent! Thank you so much!!!
Hope you have a great weekend!
Love it! I am seriously not that brave. Way to go!
I love it. It's so cute. I'm usually pretty daring too. I have no qualms about going from the middle of my back to a super short do. None of that in between stuff. It has been a few years though since I've done that. I have a husband now that prefers longer hair. Men!!!
What a great cut! I love how bouncy it is in the back! I just wanted to invite you to join us for our Spotlight Saturday Blog Hop! Link up your blog and another you'd like to spotlight. Have a great weekend!

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! You look gorgeous!
I like the new hairdo. To add one thing to your blog.....your grandma was healed of lymphoma cancer and it has never returned. God gets all of the glory!!
Super cute hair! Love it.
I'm glad Bella is excited about Kinder. So is Nolan. Whew!
Your new do looks fabulous! I wish I could wear my hair like that. I would look cute leaving the salon... but then I would have no idea how to style it myself and keep that body up. I am awful at styling my hair.
And I too was pretty conservative with cuts and colors when I was younger- now I figure I might as well have fun with it. It's just hair- it grows back and it's so easy to change :)
Happy weekend!

Cute haircute, but Kari, you're gorgeous so any hairstyle (even light blue) is going to look great on you.
I say it's a good thing to experiment with hairstyles. Of course, I haven't done anything adventurous to mine in four years (which is when I started growing it out from a chin length bob to where it is now). Anyways.
Love the haircut... I have 5 minute hair too... so wonderful when one has so many children attend too!
I don't know what a pixie cut is... must go find out.
Ha - I have a pixie hair cut! How funny is that!
You look adorable...LOVE it!!
it looks super cute! :) I love it!
I know what you mean:) I got my hair cut today and it feels amazing!
I think the cut looks great on ya!
Hi Kari! Nice to meet you. Thanks for visiting my blog!
Love the new do. I'm fearful of what my ponytail under a ball cap says about my style. I should get brave and just go for a cute new do too!
Have a great week!
I love the new do. super cute. Love how the back is stacked. CUTE
