Today is the first time I’m participating in “What I Wore Wednesday” at The Pleated Poppy.
Was this a good challenge for me?
Sort of. Here’s a few things I learned while preparing for this:
1. I forgot to take a picture most days, so this is a combo of a 2 week period. I only took 7 photos of what I wore, 2 photos did not make it. Explanation below.
2. It made me see how ‘blah’ I dress on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong. I never walk around in my yoga pants or sweats – I always get dressed, but I think most of my wardrobe might be bland.
3. I realized some outfits I wear, I shouldn’t wear anymore. I didn’t add those photos. Why didn’t someone tell me earlier?
4. I realized that I no longer wear accessories. I need to incorporate those back into my daily routine.
(due to having a child who rips everything off me – including earrings….ouch)
5. I don’t wear lip stick anymore and I think a little color might help.
(due to having children that I like to give kisses to throughout the day. it’s worth going without lipstick so I can plant smooches on them)
6. I need to keep the room clean that I take pictures in so it doesn’t look like I live in a mess!
(we just moved all our rooms around, so I’m still working on cleaning things up!)
7. I appear to have a habit of crossing my feet when I take photos. Tried not doing it as often. Didn’t work.
8. I need to find a new smile. Is this an automated smile or what?
9. I obviously don’t own any other summer shoes outside of my crocs.
10. I’m obviously having issues with my boring camera strap.

So, here we go. Next week I hope to have some better shots.
please understand that this photo was taken about 4pm on a Monday afternoon. we had just gotten back from our camping trip and I had not showered in a day and a half. hence the ponytail.

This helped me see how I really look everyday. Some weren’t so pretty, so I guess I should make more of an effort to look decent everyday! It makes me feel better anyway when I look like I take care of myself!
If you want to join in this meme, you can go to The Pleated Poppy and add your link or link up next week!

I have seen this on the Pleated Poppy and have avoided playing along. Some day I'll jump in, but I'm just not jazzed about my wardrobe yet. Working on it!
I think you look great!!
WELL...little miss style diva...I think you look AWESOME!!! I am so glad you did this. I feel like I know you better now!
You rock in crocs...don't change your shoes for anyone! :)
paige
I think you'd be adorable in a paper sack!
I should do this and make everyone feel better... I'm a yoga pants/sweats wearer. Jean capri's and a tank would be 'dressing up.' Most days, I'm just wearing boy shorts (undies) and one of Daddy Bub's Bama t-shirts and I just have to hope no one decides to stop by unannounced. :P
I think you look fantastic!
You are so cute...I would be in capris and a tshirt every time with Old navy flip flops & I can never get a good shot of myself in a mirror. I don't know how you all do it.
That was a fun one! It does seem like you can get to know a person better when you see pics like that :) I would totally be in a t-shirt and denim capris every day, with some type of flip flops. Ha! I wear the same exact jewelry every day, not because I don't have tons of jewelry, but I'm just too lazy to change it and figure out what to wear. For the longest, I didn't wear perfume because I had little ones always snuggling and didn't want it to get in their eyes, etc.
I'm with Brandi, capris and a woman's t-shirt is dressing up for me.
I wear knee length shorts everyday with an oversized t-shirt and $1 flip flops. Yup, as attractive as it sounds.
Oh, and hair is pulled back w/a clip cause I still can't make a pony tail w/my broken hand.
I unlike you am found most days wearing my yoga pants and t-shirts with my NIkes in hopes that I might get a workout in at some point during the day haha! I think you are adorable and sorry I haven't commented in so long. It has been a little bit of a struggle to blog this summer! I am back now though!
You look fantastic!!! And I LOVE your jeans... LOVE LOVE LOVE!
What a fun post. I esp love your little commentaries! Also love that Bella was in one of the pics. I have pics just like that from when I took my preggo pics and the girls were right there wanting to be in the pic too!
This is a scary challenge!!! You're very brave for doing it. It sounds like something I should do, 'cause I know I need help in the looking-good-everyday dept!
I would hate to see my wardrobe pics on here, I am so bland! I loved Steve and Barry's, but agree on the pants, I am short and I thought their pants were too short!!
I think you look good! Mine would be the same every day. Scrubs. lol
