Where did this past week go? I have hardly been online the past 7 days. Not that it’s a bad thing – but it is weird.
I’m still playing catch up with my photos and I’m just about where I should be.
Last week Scout wasn’t feeling well – so for about 6 days I carried him around day in and day out. Though, over the weekend Hubby was home to help. My arms are sore and I’m sure I gained some muscle in them. Lack of sleep + Lack of sitting + walking hundreds of miles in circles everyday with a 30 pound child on my hip = one sleepy mommy!
Saturday was my family’s annual “Ladie’s Night”. This year we did something different than usual. Instead of going to someone’s house and exchanging gifts and visiting – we all went to see a play at a local Music Hall. We saw, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and it was really good. I even ran into my mom-in-law and her husband there – which was cool. It was a night without the kids and although it was nice to sit and eat – like a normal person – I missed them. Yes, I’m one of those who is always wanting some time away from the kids, but the minute she gets it, she misses being with them.
This weekend Hubby and I are heading up to the mountains with our church’s youth group for their Winter Retreat. This is our first year going. I’m sure it will be fun, but there is one drawback. The cold. Yes, as most of you know I don’t do cold. I don’t like it. It hurts. Hubby will be skiing. I will be hanging in the warm cabin (it better be warm) reading. The kids will be with my parents. This is the other drawback – this will be the first time I’ve been away from Scout overnight. In fact, we’ll be gone 3 days. I have a feeling there will be a cry session. Not with Scout, but me! I’m so attached those two kids!
Anyhoodle…onto the photos!

Day 321
“My Special Treasures”
(I know it’s a far away shot, but I liked it because I see the guitar that my kids were playing with while Hubby played his guitar and off to the right you can see my drawing table with my vision boards on them.)

Booyah!
I really like this week's shots. You're a very busy woman, that's for sure. Enjoy your time away from the kids- everyone will be better for it and you can come home and smother them in kisses.
Great week! Love the kitty shot!
I noticed you have different time zone clocks on the wall...
When did scout get so grown up looking? I'm sure being away from the kids for 3 days will be hard but try to enjoy it. I bet they have a blast at Grandma's house. I would stay in the cabin reading too. Let the hubs get cold and wet!
Great pics! The one of them watching Veggie Tales is hilarious! Is that Scout copying Bella? Just precious.
I do believe Scout looks just like his daddy!
Oh my goodness. Your hubby and face have the exact same smile in that photo! Cool!
Have fun on your trip! I just shuttered at the thought of leaving Daisy overnight. I don't think it would go well for either of us! Especially me!!!!
Scout is looking so grown up. Way to go Bella on getting a new belt in Tae Know Do. Have a great weekend.
Those are precious!!!
Oh, and is your header a photo you took? At your house? If so, you are amazing! Your fireplace set up is like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse to my McDonald's! Hee hee
